my teenage son suddenly cares about politics because of short videos. help!

My son is 15 and suddenly he has strong political opinions at dinner! I am happy he is interested! But all his information is from short videos, 30 seconds each, and some of them are very angry.

How do I guide him without killing his interest?! I don't want to be the boring mum who says "read a newspaper"!
